Flexitallic UK has announced its participation in the Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) exhibition, taking place in Stavanger - the energy capital of Norway - from 26th to 29th August.

As one of the largest events in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry calendar, it attracts thousands of exhibitors, delegates, and visitors, providing a key platform for Flexitallic UK.

Alongside our range of advanced sealing technologies, we will spotlight two groundbreaking products the EQUIFLEX™, RIGFLEX™ and ISOFLEX™ range of gaskets. All were specifically developed by Flexitallic to deliver targeted solutions for operators’ complex sealing challenges.

Highlighting EQUIFLEX™: A Revolutionary Solution

EQUIFLEX™ was born out of necessity when routine inspections identified severe corrosion on high-pressure ring-type joint flange connections, threatening pressure system integrity and requiring urgent remedial action. However, flange machining or replacement, were economically unfeasible due to extensive downtime and high costs.

To address this, Flexitallic developed EQUIFLEX™, a bespoke tandem dual-seal gasket that creates a high-integrity seal across compromised flanges. The inner seal ensures primary pressure containment, while the outer seal protects against the corrosive offshore marine environment.

In more than two years, thousands of EQUIFLEX™ gaskets have provided a proactive solution for flange face corrosion issues, delivering substantial savings in production time, materials, transport, and labour costs.

RIGFLEX™: Advanced Sealing for Rigorous Applications

RIGFLEX™ FP and FJ reverse integrity gaskets represent a cutting edge solution that departs from traditional leak testing methods for large volume pressure systems – avoiding the need for extensive and costly equipment, test materials, specialist teams, and extensive downtime.

Tailored for the Upstream Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors, they feature a high-pressure welded test pipe and threaded connection port, allowing continuous monitoring and spot testing of individual flanged connections.

The RIGFLEX™ RJ is a precision-machined, octagonal, ring-type joint, while the RIGLEX™ FP has a grooved core with dual Kammprofile elements faced with Corriculite®, a non-conductive filler material delivering unrivalled sealing performance and corrosion resistance. It is specifically designed for use

in corrosion-sensitive environments, such as seawater and hydrocarbon services.

ISOFLEX™: Comprehensive Sealing and Isolation Solutions

The ISOFLEX™ range of isolation gaskets are highly versatile, suitable for industries like oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, and water treatment, and can be used in flange joints, valve connections, and other critical sealing points.

They are engineered to provide exceptional sealing and electrical isolation and are  known for their high dielectric strength, which mitigates galvanic corrosion. Their corrosion resistance and compliance with industry standards such as ASME, ANSI, and ISO further ensure their reliability and safety in harsh environments.

By preventing leaks and extending the life of piping systems, ISOFLEX™ gaskets contribute to cost savings and support environmental safety by preventing contamination from hazardous substances.

Christian Pettersson, Business Development Manager for Scandinavia, says: “Flexitallic has a long-standing history of collaborating with operators to design sealing solutions that address specific challenges. EQUIFLEX™, RIGFLEX and ISOFLEX™ are prime examples of our commitment to innovation and problem-solving. We are excited to present these advanced products at ONS 2024 and demonstrate how they can significantly benefit the wider Oil & Gas sector.”
