Purpose
Responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels and the efficient operation of Goods Inwards and Outward. Duties include receiving, verifying and booking stocks, storage, shipping including the maintenance of relevant records. The role will also coordinate any tasks assigned to the Stores and Goods Receipt/delivery area. The Store Keeper will be required to work flexibly, as it may be necessary to assist, or cover for, other staff from time to time.

Job Description

KEY TASKS

  • Receive delivery of incoming stock, assisting with unloading of goods.
  • Allocate incoming goods either to Stores or to Shop floor.
  • Inspect incoming goods, quarantine any damaged goods and arrange for collection and subsequent replacement.
  • Issue raw material as required for shop floor.
  • Make sure of maximum utilization of raw material/sheets before issuing new.
  • Issue finished good as required for shipping.
  • Maintain and update stock records.
  • Inventory cycle counting on monthly basis.
  • Inventory counting in June and December every year.
  • Maintain a stock of Personal Protective Equipment (mainly safety glasses, footwear etc.) and issue to all the employees as appropriate.
  • Adhere to follow standard Operating Procedures and QHSE policies.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Strictly follow company’s “Trade compliance” and make sure the compliance of the same in every business transaction.
  • Perform any other duties based on assigned by the top management, that are deemed necessary, to grow the business in the region.
  • Prepare and handover the shipping documents (Packing list, delivery note, Invoice etc.)

 

Key Health & Safety /Housekeeping Tasks

  • Adhere to company stated policies and procedures relating to health & safety and quality management.
  • Ensure warehouse/work area housekeeping is at highest standards and clean.

 

Experience / Skills

  • Minimum of 3-4 year experience in industrial / stores experience
  • Must be commercially astute
  • Excellent communication in English
  • Must be highly self-motivated, self-driven.
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft office, ERP systems etc.

 

Desirable

  • Experience in the gasket industry
  • Knowledge of the sealing process and how Flexitallic products work would be an advantage.

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Graduate in any stream/Diploma in Engineering
  • Degree/Diploma in Materials Management would be preferred
